Probably it wont be a problem. but why do u want to bring a knife there? they have enough and u can buy a very cool one there.... its a souvenir.

about saving kids from the bad guys... very nice idea but a knife wouldn`t b enough... . I would recommend a pocket tank for that
or just staying away from those areas. might be a good idea too..
about bringing one from here if u will have a funky knife and someone would want it from you - -- - u are in a bigger problem then u thought. NATBAG people are nothing comparing to an 8 years old Ugandan kid...
I would recommend trying to stay out of trouble
