כל מי שנוסע לארופה מאושר על הגג ממטר וחצי שלג. קבלתי היום ניזולטר מ Big Sky Montana (ההדגשות שלי - מ.ר.):
Powder Powder Powder. It's the word on the mountain. Plenty of it and no lift lines. Where is everybody?
Lets talk snow. It's official 2008 is the 3rd snowiest winter in 20 years, only to be surpassed by the 95/96 & 96/97 seasons.
Year to date Big Sky Resort has received 354" of snowfall on the upper mountain and 236" mid-mountain. The first twelve days of February have accumulated 54" of snowfall on the upper mountain and 36" mid-mountain. January racked up 102" of snow on the upper mountain with 68" on the mid-mountain. Out of the past 43 days 32 of them have received more than 1" of snowfall. The snow continues to fall at Big Sky Resort and snowfall is currently 15% above the 20 year average. To sum it all up, the snow skiing is absolutely fantastic. In the words of Jimbo "Quit your job and go skiing"! Snow stats were provided by the Big Sky Snow Safety Department.
